PNB / Safety and Navigation
The mandatory PNB Safety and Navigation practical training lasts 8 hours.
It is completed in two 4-hour sessions, usually over a weekend. We recommend doing it before the exam, as we will review theoretical content.

The Radiocommunications course is required to obtain the PNB qualification. This course consists of 4 hours of radiocommunications, including 2 hours of theory and 2 hours of practical training delivered using radio simulators.

The mandatory PER Safety and Navigation practical training lasts 16 hours.
It is completed in two 8-hour sessions, usually over a weekend. We recommend doing it before the exam because we will review theoretical content.
It costs €200. If you book it together with the PER radio practical training, the full package is priced at €350.

The Radio – Short Range Operator (SRO) course is required to obtain the PER qualification.
This course consists of 12 hours of radiocommunications, including 4 hours of theory and 8 hours of practical training delivered using radio simulators.

To obtain the Sailing endorsement, you must complete the Sailing practical training, which lasts 16 hours. It is usually completed over a full weekend. It is valid for: PNB, PER, Yacht Skipper and Yacht Captain.

Complete this additional PER practical training and you will be able to skipper vessels up to 24 metres in length and navigate between the mainland and the Balearic Islands, with just 24 hours of navigation practical training.
Mandatory safety and navigation practical training, 48 hours of navigation during which, ‘in situ’, much of the knowledge gained in the theoretical classes is put into practice, as well as the use of electronic instruments and standing navigation watches.
These practical sessions will take place on board a Lagoon 38 catamaran, 11.55 m in length and with 4 cabins, making the experience even more comfortable. Night navigation will be carried out, watch shifts will be organised, and the content of the Yacht Skipper or Yacht Captain course will be reviewed.
The price of the 48-hour navigation practical training is €480.
