Jet Ski Safety Rules

Of course, safety is very important when operating jet skis. This includes not only the safety and well-being of those riding the jet ski, but also that of other coastal users. For this reason, we list some of the fundamental safety rules you should consider to enhance navigation safety.

Jet skis have navigation restrictions in certain areas, in addition to needing to comply with some basic rules:

  • Navigation beyond territorial waters is not permitted.
  • Never navigate within marked swimming areas.
  • Maintain a safety distance of 200 meters from beaches and 50 meters from the rest of the coastline.
  • Do not approach divers. You will identify them by the Alpha flag or the modified Bravo flag.
  • The minimum distance between jet skis is 50 meters when navigating.
  • Always wear a life jacket.
  • In ports, channels, and beaches, the maximum speed is 3 knots.
  • Jet skis are only permitted to be operated during daylight hours.

Above all, respect other users. We can all enjoy navigating and the sea if we respect each other.
