PPER - Professional Recreational Craft Skipper

Command of vessels registered in the sixth or seventh list, provided that no more than 12 people are on board, including crew, on recreational craft with a length equal to or less than 24 meters, along the Spanish coast and within the area between it and the 60-mile line parallel to it.

Serve as an instructor for basic safety and navigation practices for obtaining the qualifications of Skipper for Basic Navigation and Recreational Craft Skipper.

Aimed at all Yacht Masters who wish to work as professional skippers of recreational craft, with the above specifications, or as instructors in nautical sports training schools.

Professional opportunities
  • In nautical companies as a skipper carrying up to 12 passengers.
  • In nautical schools as a theory and navigation practice instructor (LN, PNB, PER)
  • Vessel transfers for the peninsula and between archipelagos.
  • Professional diving companies.
Course duration
  • Theory: 20 hours
  • The course is in-person. Only 10% absence from theoretical hours is permitted. The practical part must be completed in its entirety.
Requirements
  • Be a Yacht Master.
  • 6 professional specialty certificates.
  • Pass the DGMM examination.
  • Declaration of having completed 50 days and 2,500 miles of navigation.
  • Pass a free medical examination at the ISM.
