How to spot dolphins? To sight them, it is necessary to venture into further waters, between 3 and 5 miles from the coast. Keep these tips in mind:   <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_not_chase_them\"><\/span>Do not chase them.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Approaches should be made very gently in a trajectory parallel to that of the animals (not from the front, behind, or perpendicular to their path), without making sudden changes in course or speed. Speed should be constant and not exceed four knots or the speed of the slowest animal in the group.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Avoid_making_noise\"><\/span>Avoid making noise<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Do not shout or produce sounds that could attract or drive them away.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_not_touch_them\"><\/span>Do not touch them<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Limit direct physical contact from both people and the vessel itself.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Beware_of_propellers\"><\/span>Beware of propellers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If they approach the boat within 60 meters, put the engine in neutral or stop it if necessary.
